Challenge yourself at the Social Service Maze, a new interactive experience! You will have “your family “scenario and then attempt to navigate the social programs to get the resources you need to move out of homelessness. You’ll need to find shelter, food, a job and more. Can you do it?
Do this and more at Family Promise’s seventh annual Cardboard City. The event combines fundraising with a better understanding of what it means to be homeless. Cardboard City will be “constructed” November 17-18 on the grounds of CrossRoad United Methodist Church.
Support Family Promise by collecting donations for spending the evening or spending the night. The Alhambra Dinner Theater is donating a simple meal served cafeteria style. Cardboard City travel mugs will be for sale.
This is a great event for families, youth groups and anyone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child.
This Sunday, we will be giving out gift cards to assist with Thanksgiving meals to all visitors who attend the entire service. This is our way of saying, Happy Thanksgiving!
Please come join us Thanksgiving Day for our Feast Of Plenty, a free community meal, from 12:00PM – 2:00PM. It is sponsored by First Baptist Church of Orange Park, Advent Lutheran Church and Celebration Church.
