The Church at Vilano will be hosting their 18th Easter Sunrise Service on Vilano Beach on Sunday, April 1. Rev. Glen McCutcheon, who recently began his ministry with the church, will be leading the service. Jayce Ginn will lead music with the praise team of 1st United Methodist Church. Interpretive dance will be presented by Jonathan and Meghan Chapman of the St. Augustine Dance Conservatory. Many people enjoy this uplifting service which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Music for meditation on the beach will begin at 6:30 AM. with the 45-minute worship service starting at 7:00 AM. with sunrise at 7:14 AM. Interpretation for the deaf will be provided. Worshippers may request counseling for ocean baptism. If surf conditions are not suitable, a later date will be arranged.
The worship stage will be near the access ramp on the beach end of Vilano Road. There will be no parking on the beach. An experienced parking team will direct cars to park at Publix, Beaches at Vilano and along non-residential streets. If needed, passengers may be dropped off in the two traffic circles near the beach walkovers and ramp. Attendees may bring chairs, blankets, sunglasses, cameras and friends. Restrooms are provided at the pavilion. The sand dunes must always be protected from walkers, dogs, and vehicles.
Access to Vilano Beach is off Coastal Highway (A1A north), 2 miles due east of the main public library on North Ponce de Leon (US-1). At the traffic light at the east end of the Usina Bridge, turn right towards Vilano Rd.

The Church at Vilano gathers every Sunday morning at the North Shores Community Center, located at120 Meadow Ave., 1/2 mile north of the traffic light in Vilano Beach. Worship begins at 11:00 AM, preceded by Bible study at 10:00 AM. You are also invited to prayer and Bible study each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM, in the former Fire House at Meadow Ave. and 1st Street.
