ENCOUNTER – "A God Encounter Will Change Your Life". Encounter will be held at Compass Worship Center Church of God in Ludowici, GA. It is open to the public and everyone is welcome.

Encounter Speaker – Bishop Rich Boll. Bishop Rich and Angel Boll have pastored the Cooley Ave. Church of God since July of 2003. Cooley is a multi-cultural, multi-generational, inner-city church impacting the community through outreach and growing the Kingdom through discipleship. Rich currently serves the Ohio Church of God as Chairman of the State Council and together he and Angel Co-Chair the State Prayer Committee. Rich also serves as chairman of the Encounter movement, a young adult retreat that has blossomed in Ohio over the last 4 years. He has preached in many Church of God Youth Camps and revivals around the state and the country.

The Bolls have been married for 22 years and have three wonderful children: Tyler 20, Savannah 17, and Emma Grace 13. Encounter Worship Leader – Eric Medford. Pastor Eric Medford serves as the Administrative and Worship Pastor of the South Boston Church of God and Campus Pastor of Halifax Christian School located in South Boston, Virginia. Pastor Eric has been privileged to serve the people of God all his life and has a passion for the presence of the Lord. A gifted musician and vocalist, companied with the call to usher in the presence of Lord, drive this passion.

Mitchell, who was elected the 134th Bishop of the AME Church, the Saint Stephen Family is embracing "A New Season" with the appointment of Dr. Green as their Pastor. A City-wide Welcome Celebration will take place Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 4:00 pm, in the church sanctuary, located at 913 West 5th Street at the intersection of North Davis Street. Reverend Dr. Marvin C. Zanders, pastor of Saint Paul AME Church, Jacksonville, will deliver the message and lead the celebratory worship service of members, churches, community and friends.

Genesis Fellowship ("GF") is an evangelistic ministry aimed to bridge the gap between those who are hungry for change, but not yet hungry for church. Through quarterly events, the group gathers to socialize and seeks to provide an open forum to address "heart matters" in an atmosphere that cultivates relationships and spiritual intimacy. Genesis Fellowship's aim is to assist with the challenge to change one's behavior, while encouraging the development of an appetite for spiritual growth.

This event is sponsored by Claresa, Baggs, All I Know, Inc., and consists of a seven (7) week program for ages 12-17. Children under the age of 12 that are sexually active may also attend.

The first session will be held on January 28, 2017 at 4:00 at New Vision Assembly, 795 Ontario Street, Jacksonville, Florida. Parents must attend on that date to sign permission slips for their children to attend the comprehensive sexual education workshop that will discuss issues, such as, abstinence, safe sex, sexting, Snap Chat pornography, cyber bullying and much more.

The goal is to empower our youth to initiate positive personal and social transformations. This workshop will provide interactive units designed to increase participant’s decision making skills, despite the continual influences of peer pressure and life influences. It is aimed to create a positive, safe and relaxed learning environment that allows teens to express their views and to discuss proven solutions to overcoming obstacles, both real and imagined. Participants will also be exposed to the justice system and learn how their actions will affect their future life goals, the lives of their families and community.

The land has already been purchased and construction has started. We now we would like to finish building a school and orphanage with your help.

The Single’s Ministry of Thomasville Road Baptist Church invite you to this year’s Living Single, Living Strong conference on Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Life as a single adult can sometimes be challenging. This conference is designed to bring together church and community resources to provide support for meeting the unique needs of single men and women.

The day will include guest speakers, Kris Swiatocho with The Singles Network Ministries and Pastor Freddy Johnson of North Point Community Church in Columbia, SC. Kris has served in ministry in various capacities for the last 25 years. An accomplished trainer/mentor author, Kris has a heart to reach and grow people so they will in turn reach and grow others. Single until the age of 42, Freddy has over 20 years of ministry experience related to Single Adults. He is the former Pastor of FOCUS in Asheville, NC where he served for 15 years. He was the Singles Pastor at Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia, SC and Pastor to Single Adults at Germantown Baptist Church in the Memphis, TN area. He also served as a consultant for Single Adults to the SC State Baptist Convention.

Participants will enjoy several workshops such as financial planning and debt reduction, grilling for one, personal security, organic gardening, and how “How Not to Marry a Jerk or Jerkette,” as well as a variety of exhibitors offering services to single adults from throughout the surrounding community.
