Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Beatitudes written by Pastors Rick Warren and John Baker. The purposes of Celebrate Recovery are to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems.

You may be thinking that recovery is just for those with alcohol or drug problems. Only about one-third of the people attending Celebrate Recovery are dealing with chemical dependencies. As Pastor Rick Warren says, We all have sinned, we've all fallen short, we've all been hurt, and we've all hurt others. Everybody needs recovery. All of life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups are addressed through this one curriculum. A hurt, habit, or hang-up is something that hinders your walk with God. Healing is available through applying the principles of a Bible based recovery process to our lives.

Children ages 5 -12? Bring them along, they can attend Celebration Station: A 52 week complimentary children's resource to Celebrate Recovery. While adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, kids discover the same truths in age-appropriate ways!

EPIC Ballroom Dancing

Event Details

Date: Friday 03/17/2017
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Christian Family Chapel
Link: Click for Event Website
Join us on March 17th for EPIC Ballroom Dancing at the Christian Family Chapel Gym/Family Life Center. We'll start the night with a group dance lesson and then we'll have an assortment of different Ballroom and Latin dance styles for social dancing.

Come join us for a variety of dancing including tango, swing, hustle, cha-cha, Viennese waltz, rumba and many others.

For those that haven't attended EPIC dance events in the past, we are not a formal we are just a group of friends who want to glorify God and who enjoy getting together to dance in a safe, Christian atmosphere. We do not charge admission for our dance event but, instead, ask that those who can donate $2 dollars which will be given to the hosting churches that help make this possible to help cover their AC and utility costs. As Paul didn't want to be a burden on the church in Corinth, we don't want to be a burden to the churches that lend us their buildings.

Since we aren't charging admission, there also won't be refreshments provided, but if you'd like to bring a finger food, drink or dessert to share with the group that would be great.

At some point in the night we'll have a short message from the word.

Rules:

-NO Drugs or Alcohol

-Please be respectful of the church for allowing us to use their building by keeping the place clean, and picking up your trash (when the night is over, please see if there's anyway you can help us tidy up).

-"Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" -1 Corinthians 10:31
