A First Coast Cultural Center art workshop! This intermediate series will focus on knife work/technique mostly, and not on color theory or composition.
This class is structured for students with some painting experience, although no experience painting with knives is necessary. Students should have some knowledge of color mixing and use of color, value and composition in painting. Paints used can be either heavy bodied acrylics or water soluble oils. For those interested in trying water soluble oil paints, there are a number of brands and qualities available on line or at local supply stores. They are healthier to use in closed environments than standard oil paints [no paint thinner fumes], and have similar, if not identical, painting characteristics.
