“She’s My Hero”. Think of a woman you admire who has influenced your life. The North Florida Women’s Chorale, directed by Kerry Fradley with Kathleen Vande Berg accompanying, will feature women heroes from history and fiction who have made a difference. Join the Chorale for a free concert honoring important women on April 30, Sunday, 3 pm, at Palms Presbyterian Church, 3410 3rd St. S., Jacksonville Beach, to share in the celebration of women who make a difference.
The chorale is singing about influential and brave women in history such as Miriam from the Old Testament of the Bible and Susan B. Anthony, the champion of women’s right and abolition of slavery. In addition, we celebrate fictional women heroes such as Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, and Maria Von Trapp, a hero of both fact and fiction. More information on Facebook or www.womenschorale.org.
Our featured community service project this year is with the Foster Closet – Pathways, an organization that supports children who are aging out of the Foster Care System. We are providing laundry, cleaning supplies and bath goods for them as well as financial support. Please bring your donations and items to the concert.
