Shared Roots is made possible through the generous support of Baptist Health. \n“Food insecurity doesn’t always look the way people expect it to\,” said Laura Cook\, LSS program director who oversees the mobile pantries. “Many of our neighbors are working hard but still struggling to keep groceries on the table. Shared Roots allows us to meet families where they are and provide not just food\, but dignity\, care\, and connection.” \nLSS encourages Northside residents in need to take advantage of this free community resource.

He worked in and around Boston\, including at WGBH-TV\, in publishing\, printing\, and advertising. In 1973\, Porter moved to Florida\, where he began teaching in the Graphic Design and Photography programs at the University of North Florida. \nHis current collection of photographs were created through his love of travel across the globe\, including: the United States\, Mexico\, and a great deal of South America. He has also traveled within Europe and Asia\, most notably\, Bali Nepal in India\, a destination he enthusiastically recommends others to visit.

DESCRIPTION:Isaiah 117 House\, a nonprofit dedicated to changing the way foster care begins\, is holding their annual Lemonade Stand Weekend on July 17-19\, 2026\, across Duval\, St. Johns\, Nassau & Clay Counties. Lemonade Stand Weekend is a nationwide tradition that began in 2017 with just a few lemonade stands in Elizabethton\, Tennessee. Each year\, communities across the country host stands to raise awareness and support for children awaiting foster care placement\, with all proceeds staying local to benefit their community’s Isaiah 117 House. During Lemonade Stand Weekend\, there will be 50+ stands hosted locally to support our local Isaiah 117. “Lemonade Stand Weekend is a simple but powerful way for our community to come together and make a difference for children entering foster care\,” said Ronda Paulson\, founder and executive director of Isaiah 117 House. “Every cup of lemonade represents hope and support for children during a difficult transition. The child is often dirty\, hungry\, tired\, scared and unable to bring any personal possessions. Isaiah 117 House allows for that same child to never go to an office\, but rather a home with loving volunteers to care for them. Isaiah 117 House provides for that child’s needs\, whatever they may be\, in these critical moments between removal and placement.
