Hosted by the I’m A Star Foundation, the annual Jacksonville HELPS Celebrity Basketball Classic raises unrestricted funds for unhoused students enrolled in Duval County Public Schools. Every dollar raised is donated directly to the school district, allowing educators and student support staff the flexibility to address the greatest needs of students and their families.

Since launching the event, teen leaders with the I’m A Star Foundation have donated an incredible $240,000 to support unhoused students throughout Duval County.

This year, the youth-led organization has set an ambitious goal—raising $30,000 to help the district’s 2,348 unhoused students with critical resources, emergency assistance, educational support, and scholarships.
