Jacksonville Dance Theatre (JDT) is proud to present WEAVE on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the historic Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville. This spectacular spring repertory concert weaves together acclaimed works from JDT’s 13th season with exciting new pieces, showcasing the company’s artistic range and creative vision.
WEAVE features a dynamic program of works from JDT Artistic Director Rebecca R. Levy, resident choreographer Kristen Sholes Sullivan, and three distinguished guest choreographers. The evening includes several encore presentations, including Susan Dodge’s “Reflect,” which celebrated the pioneering spirit of classical modern dance at season 13’s fall concert TRACE, and Eboné Amos’s “mine, yours, theirs, ours” which was choreographed as part of her artist residency with JDT in 2022. The program also features the final performance of “Labyrinth” by acclaimed choreographer Bliss Kohlmyer. JDT will also say farewell to company dancer Breauna Moore, who will perform for a final time at WEAVE after five years with the company.
A special VIP reception will be held before the performance at 3 p.m. in the Florida Theatre’s Remedy Lounge. For $15, guests can enjoy a complimentary drink, light bites, access to silent auction items, and cash bar while mingling with other dance enthusiasts.
